The second Zeroth Death Anniversary
Friday night. 12 o' clock in the Midnight. Just came back from Bar. Had the usual screw-driver. Thought will sleep as early in the morning I have to go to Paris. And then I screamed "where is the address?" Physically tired and mentally sick I started for CALT. It was not that cold. May be the climate was getting better or it was that alcohol or it was just me. Took the printout. Came back to apartment. Set the alarm. How difficult it is to go to bed when you know you would not be able to sleep and you had to get up early! I tried my best. Closed my eyes. Decided not to think. Thinking of not thinking.
Waited for time to pass bye. The alarm rang. Got up. Took shower. Wore the old pair of jeans and T-shirt I have been wearing since last two days. No breakfast. Legs did not wait for my mind to give orders. Subconscious has taken the charge long back. Caught the bus. And Again I screamed "Where are printouts?". Decided not to get down. Only thing I remembered was the name of Metro Station - Gallieni. The effort to read Rule of Four in the train to Gare de Lyon was in vain.
Harsh was waiting in McDonalds. How happy I was to see him on foreign land! We went to Notre Dame, the same old cathedral, for the third time. But things were different this time with Varsha - the exceptional girl who can read the maps, Ravi - the like minded guy and of course Harsha - on the rocks. Never thought I would climb Arch de tromphie again but yeah I did. And the beautiful evening at tour Eiffel. And Screw-diver again in the evening. Came back to Fontainebleau. Hardly slept for 3 hours.
I was glad that Muse Louvre was a short visit. But the best part of the day was climbing up the Eiffel. Thanked BITS Pilani for showing me wonder of the world. Reason why you should smoke on Eiffel - To get high when you are really at high.
Trip should be like this. Fun whole day. Alcohol in the night. And no sleep. Everything was so perfect but I was celebrating my second zeroth death anniversary.
