One month of survival

Life is a chain of moments of enjoyment. It aint only survival.

I realized that I managed to survive here for a month only when i came to know that my IC memership got over. Oh! I will miss IC lunch (glad that I never have to have it again :) ) Ten more days to get back to home :) Oh! I miss homefood :((

If I look back now in the past I feel lucky. I never thought my summer stay would be great hit. My greatest enemy was climate. Everyone scared the hell out of me about it. But I never saw such serene BITS before. I remember how I enjoyed the sandstorms, the rain shower and nights without electricity.

The ragging day when I got jacked by You-Know-Who. How I was pissed off! How stupid it looked! Why can't they let us work peacefully? Was it just matter of proving that we can't do whatever we want but they can do whatever they wish ?

And my first few lessons in kitchen! The new recipes. The freid maggies I cooked. The wangi bath.. and The Besibeal bath

The discussion how BITS sux, how microsoft sux, PL, JVM, US dreams, the new TV. and the movies i saw, Friends, Yes Minister , The fountain head and The fan fitting , manager worker game and everything.

Did I forget to tell why I stayed back .. ya my thesis. (The one who believes that I am whiny can skip this para :) ) Man, it's not an easy job. "Sarabanes-Oxley Act", US constition , "Microsoft Antitrust case", "Primeminister Roygar Yojana" and what not .. this is all I am reading these days. :)

In short time well spent!!!

The Thomas Crown affair

All the movies i saw this summer, thanx to You-Know-Who for his beautiful collection of movies, I like this movie a lot . The Thomas Crown affair

Hats off to Pierce Brosnan for amazing performance and Rene Russo for dressing up and undressing ;)
What I liked in the movie how Katherine (Russo), employee of insurance firm, tells Thomas Crown (Brosnan) , owner of a large company who steals the painting from a museum, that she is behind him and still starts romancing with him. Noone knows if they are falling in love or just trying to fool each other.
The best part of movie is the ending, the way he puts the picture back to the museum. ok ok and all the obviuos scenes with bare naked bodies :P
In short movie worth watching.

The sandstorm

It was usual evening. I called up parents and declared my home coming plan :) they were shocked to hear that i am going to stay there just for a week. n did not like the idea of going to coimbatore for another week :(
Someone reminded me of 'October Sky'. Yeah, watching movies and taking bath are the only things I am doing regularly. The movie was about to have pleasant twist and power went off. This was the last thing I was expecting. But was glad that gonna have one more lawn session under street light with The fountainhead. I let him search for candle and match. Lazy me, will spend night without light but not the candle business :)
I searched for a door. N I opened it. I yelled "Sir, did u see that". He,"Ya, I can hear it." Me,"It's not about hearing .. see it". Though nothing to see but dust. It was standstorm outside. It was 10:45 pm and for the first time I was witnessing the night standstorm. It was dark and dusty. The visibility less than 10 m. The wind was like devil howling for only sake of showing his anger, forcing everyone to move in the direction according to his whims and fancy. The dust was flowing all over. The nature was trying to prove its existance. I was glad I did not miss it.
I wished if i had Harry Potter's broom. "Do u have dust allergy?". "Yeah". "OK, I am going outside. I dont have it :)". He joined after covering his face with hanky. It was great surrendering to the nature. Accepting its superiority. Feeling the thrust. The smell of dust. Sprinkling. The wet soil. Darkness.N everything. Everything as it. As natural as it is. The standstorm, nature's own exhibition of power.

Ignorance the bliss

I was just awake. Looked outside it was still dark. Felt something wrong with this morning. Morning .. is it morning .. or its evening. I slept at yesterday evening or this evening.. damn it I lost my sense of time.
I looked for my watch. I do not know where it is. Hey I can't hear either. Can I speak atleast ? Why to give a try? if i can't hear myslef then how will i know if i can speak or not :( what kinda hell i am in !!!
I got up and asked, "sir, is it evening?". Got replied "Yes". Me,"So It's not morning". Got an expression, "What kind of idiot u r! ".
I was so worried. Now I slept in the evening what will i do in all of night :( If i keep watching movies and friends whole night people will think that I am stupid. (which I want them to figure out their own :) )
So what to do now? What do I do everyday this time? Oh, I go to IC. IC n now.. I don't even know if I am hungry or not. Even if I am, do I eat there .. honestly I dont remember. No, let's go to IC and enjoy the food!
N trust me it is the most pleasant evening i ever spent in my life... U r just awake and u have no tension no worries. and the cold breeze .. n it's sprinkling .. the smell of wet soil .. cycling on a lonely road.. and the ignorance .. the bliss
